Held twice a year, the St Louis Wine Clinic was founded by long time friends and colleagues Christopher Hoel and Stanley Browne along with Jennifer Johnson. They wanted to offer wine education classes for those who are passionate and focused on learning more about wine as they are.
Originally created for restaurant industry service men and women, the St. Louis Wine Clinic has since educated those from all walks of life. From restaurant owners to servers to corporate executives to soccer mom's. The clinic's focus is to educate like minds in a relaxing and casual environment. Sometimes not the most 'Politically Correct' commentary, but always honest and fun.
Overview During the course of this 9 week session you will LEARN the following, but not limited to:
- Characteristics of Major Wine Growing Region in the World to include:
permitted grape varietals, viticulture, climate, soil composition, regional characteristics, producers of note, applicable wine laws, local cuisine and food pairings.
- How to Blind Taste Wine : through a systematic process used by
sommeliers and wine professionals alike you will learn all the secret clues to blind taste wine and impress your friends.
- Wine Provenance : proper wine storage and cellaring, when to open
certain wines and when to wait, and some of the DON'TS regarding wine collecting and storage.
- Relationship between Food and Wine : Explore the specific scientific
relationship between food and wine
